Due to an expanding workload across all sectors, we’re looking for ambitious and enthusiastic Placement Civil & Structural Engineers to join our team in Belfast. You’ll gain hand-on experience working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects.
As part of our growing team located from our Belfast office, you’ll collaborate and engage with colleagues through a combination of home and office-based working, delivering projects throughout Northern Ireland and further afield.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
From day one you’ll be given real responsibility, gaining invaluable experience and exposure working alongside our industry experts and across your team to deliver the following:
- Assist in the delivery of the requirements of allocated projects and services to the client through project planning, programming, cost control and administration
- Report on programme delivery, resources and budgets
- Undertake general ‘team’ administrative duties as and when required
- Receive and disseminate information to other team members to ensure service delivery
- Undertake other basic business support duties as part of a team

Throughout your placement programme, you will receive first-class mentoring and a structured learning and development programme to enable your professional and personal development.
As a Placement Student, you will be given the opportunity to play a part in the delivery of singular or multiple projects that contribute to the smooth running of services used by the public every day.
With Amphora Consulting you will be able to develop your professional and technical skills and gain valuable experience to add to your CV.
As a Placement Student, other than you being on a relevant degree, we don’t expect you to bring prior experience with you when you join us; we will give you all the skills and opportunities.
We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:
- Currently studying for a MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural Engineering, Year 2, with a minimum anticipated grade of 2:1
- Have eligibility to work in the UK/IE OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, permanent employment in the UK/IE
- Available to join the programme in Summer 2023
